Research

Our research explores the interplay between emotion, cognition, embodiment and consciousness.  We are particularly interested in the implications of these processes for understanding human social cognition.  Our work uses diverse methods of social and cognitive psychology, including techniques from psychophysiology and social neuroscience. Our investigations span the following six broad topics:

  1. Affect, motivation, and awareness.
  2. Processing dynamics.
  3. Embodiment of emotion.
  4. Emotion and Autism.
  5. Interaction of social and cognitive processes.
  6. Conceptual and methodological issues in social neuroscience.
